WSP, one of the world’s leading engineering and professional services consulting firms, provides services focused on infrastructure delivery. The firm was founded in New York City in 1885 under the name Parsons Brinckerhoff, and was acquired by WSP in 2014, becoming WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff. In 2017, WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff officially re-branded as WSP.
WSP provides a full range of engineering, architectural, environmental, planning, and construction management services, and is comprised of approximately 36,000 employees. Locally, we have nearly 70 staff in our Sacramento office, who provide a full range of consulting engineering services. These services include: project management; transportation planning and roadway design; mechanical/electrical design; hydraulics/hydrology/stormwater design; and funding acquisition support.
We have an additional 100 staff members co-located with the California High-speed Rail Authority at their Sacramento headquarters. On the California High-speed Rail project, WSP is serving as the Rail Delivery Partner, providing program management, operations and maintenance, environmental, and engineering and construction services.
WSP has worked on several high-profile, award-winning projects throughout the region and beyond. These include: providing civil and structural design and water resources engineering for the City of Sacramento I-5 Riverfront Reconnection; civil, structural, and electrical design for the City of Sacramento Tower Bridge retrofit; civil/roadway and electrical design, and environmental clearance for the new east span of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge; and program management, construction management, and design services for the Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency Levee Rehabilitation Program.
