architecture, and planning & urban design services to clients throughout California. When Mark Thomas opened his practice in 1927, he single-handedly offered civil engineering and land surveying, supporting land development

projects. From 1927 until after

World War II, Thomas maintained a solo practice; in 1947 he hired Aldo Savio as a partner, beginning the company’s steady growth. Since then, we have evolved to meet the needs of our clients. We now have more than 200 team members in offices that are strategically located to support the communities in which we live and work. Originating in San Jose (corporate headquarters), we have established additional offices in Carmel,

Cupertino, Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Oakland, Ontario, Sacramento, San Carlos, and Walnut Creek.
