We kicked off the new year with our always popular Joint ACEC/APWA meeting on January 7h with another Virtual Meeting. Our event featured two speakers – Bonnie Gore, Board Chairwoman and Placer County Supervisor, as well as James Corless, CEO and Executive Director of SACOG . This was Regina Cave’s first meeting as the Sacramento Chapter’s APWA President. Regina is with the City of Citrus Heights. President Scott Lillibridge represented the Sierra Chapter and welcomed everyone to the meeting.
We were originally planning for an in-person event to be held at the Citrus Heights Community Center, but at the last
minute we had to pivot to a virtual meeting due to COVID (again!). Luckily the turnout was still good and we had a great meeting. James and Bonnie tag teamed while discussing the recently signed into law Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which is a massive bill that will definitely impact our six County region over the next five years.
