Construction Management
UNICO’s Construction Management Services are built on responsiveness to the needs of our clients and projects, a thorough understanding of the project plans and specifications, and a strong understanding of the Caltrans LAPM, local agency standards, Federal Railroad Administration regulations.
UNICO offers construction management, structures representative. bridge, roadway, utility and electrical inspection, constructability reviews, document control and labor compliance.
Current examples of local projects include Railroad Street Improvements and Old Town Plaza Phase 2 & 3 Project for the City of Elk Grove and the 3rd Street Relief Sewer Project for the City of Sacramento.
Land Surveying
UNICO’s survey team has the technology and experience to address any surveying needs including topographic mapping, bathymetric (hydrographic) surveys, ALTA’s, boundary surveys, construction staking, easements, aerial surveys, right of ways, terrestrial LiDAR scanning and drone surveying. Using the latest in GPS and robotic total station technology, UNICO works efficiently to deliver accurate results. UNICO is experienced in delivering projects that meet local, state, and federal requirements. Drone services include aerial photography for land surveying purposes and project documentation. The survey department works on design and construction projects for public and private clients throughout California.
Systems Engineering
As projects become more complex and technological, systems integration becomes a vital component of project delivery. UNICO is at the forefront of delivering these services and solutions to infrastructure design and construction projects. UNICO was an early adopter of these practices for infrastructure projects, drawing upon worldwide experience to build an industry leading team, which has resulted in our involvement in California High Speed Rail for over three years. Systems Integration services include Verification and Validation, Requirements Management, Configuration Management, RAMS, Interface Management and Safety and Security Certification. In addition to California High Speed Rail, our Systems team is currently working on several projects for BART.
