Our annual joint meeting with the Sacramento Chapter of APWA is right around the corner and always draws a big crowd.  This years meeting should carry on that tradition with Sacramento County Supervisor Sue Frost as our special guest. This meeting will be held at the Dante Club on Friday, January 10th

Supervisor Frost represents the people of the 4th District, who overwhelmingly elected her in 2016.  Prior to that, she served as Mayor and City Councilwoman for the City of Citrus Heights. Before beginning her public service, Sue studied nursing and physical education at Pacific Union College in Napa and later specialized as an RN-California Certified Emergency Nurse.

She has been a business owner for 34 years in the field of mortgage lending (retired 2014), consulting and real estate investments. She is also a Real Estate Broker and a member of Sacramento Association of Realtors.

She was elected to the Citrus Heights City Council in 2012, and served as Vice-Mayor in 2014 and Mayor in 2015.  As Mayor, she not only led the city, but pioneered efforts to expand regional economic cooperation, support community non-profits and help Veterans with key events such as the Regional Leadership Council, W99e Support Veterans celebration and the Vets Helping Vets fund.

On the Board of Supervisors, Sue has been a leading voice for fiscal responsibility, public safety, and refocusing transportation spending on fixing existing roads.  She created a unique work-training program to help get homeless off the streets and into self-reliant jobs.  She also led the effort to create the county’s first Veterans Commission.
