On November 8th, 2018, Butte College and the Paradise community experienced one of the most destructive wildfires in California’s history. To date, over 871 Butte College students have lost their homes due to the devastating Camp Fire. Hundreds more are displaced or are sheltering friends and family.
The ACEC Sierra Chapter has made a donation of $1,500 to the Butte College Camp Fire Relief Fund to help students that have been affected by the Camp Fire. The donation will help students with housing, transportation, laptops, equipment, and other basic needs.
I personally am grateful for the donation made by ACEC as well as all of the support various individuals and businesses alike have given in the relief effort and I would encourage everyone to continue to hold the victims of the Camp Fire in their mind.
