On February 23, the San Joaquin Engineering Council held its annual scholarship awards dinner. ACEC has been a sponsor of one of the program’s scholarships for the past 15 years. Since SJEC was organized 56 years ago, it has awarded $364,500 to 289 future engineers.
The Sierra Chapter continued its tradition of donating $2,000 toward a scholarship for a deserving high
$2000 toward a scholarship for a deserving high school student. The 2023 recipient of the Sierra Chapter sponsored scholarship was Arin Helsby. She is a student at Aspire Benjamin Holt College Prep Academy in Stockton with plans to pursue a Bioengineering degree. She has not yet chosen a college to attend.
