Here we are, already at the end of 2022. I’ve enjoyed the return of many industry activities and events this year. For the Sierra Chapter, that momentum will carry over into 2023 starting with our annual joint meeting with APWA on January 6. Be sure to get signed up before you’re distracted by year-end deadlines and the holiday hustle & bustle.
On December 6th, I joined our Chapter VP, Erik Fanselau at the 2022 CREATE Awards Luncheon. I had the honor of representing ACEC while awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a very deserving local high school student that will be attending Sacramento State and pursuing a career engineering. The brief bios on her and the other future leaders were very impressive. You can read more about the event in an article by CREATE Mentor Erik Fanselau later in this newsletter.
Mark your calendars on February 8 for our annual meeting at which we honor Past Presidents of the Sierra Chapter. We will have the current ACEC California President, Raul Laborin, joining us to provide updates from the State.
