“In 1988, Sacramento County voters approved a ½-cent, 20 year-year local transportation funding program. With that, the Sacramento Transportation Authority (STA) was formed to program and administer Measure A. In 2004, voters overwhelmingly approved an extension of funding for an additional 30 years.
