As I write this message on the eve of another potential government shutdown it looks like congress will be approving the measure to fund the government into early December. So, we’ve got that going for us…which is nice (any Caddyshack fans out there?). Next up is approval of the $1.2 trillion “core” infrastructure package. By the time you read this we should know if House Speaker Nancy Pelosi found enough bipartisan support to get the deal done.
Given that so much of what we do depends on what Washington does, it’s appropriate that I mention how important it is that we raise the funds necessary to support our Federal PAC. If you are reading this newsletter, it’s more than likely that you are a leader at some level within your firm and possibly in one of the many industry organizations such as ACEC. Therefore, without sounding too preachy, we all should thoughtfully consider contributing to our Federal PAC to further the interests of our firms, our industry, and our communities that depend on all the good work that we do.
One way to support the Federal PAC is to purchase a ticket (or 5!) for the 2021 Fall Sweepstakes. A flyer is included in this newsletter that will provide details on how to purchase a sweepstakes ticket that supports the Federal PAC and your chance to win valuable cash prizes.
