Assemblyman Kevin Kiley to Address our Joint ACEC/APWA Meeting on January 4th, 2019.

Our annual joint meeting with the Sacramento Chapter of APWA is right around the corner and always draws a big crowd.  This years meeting should carry on that tradition with Assemblyman Kevin Kiley as our special guest. This meeting will be held at the Dante Club on Friday, January 4th.

Assemblyman Kevin Kiley represents the people of the 6th District, which includes portions of El Dorado, Placer, and Sacramento counties, and encompasses Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Fair Oaks, Folsom, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Orangevale, Rocklin, and Roseville. Assemblyman Kiley was recently reelected for his second term.

Kevin earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard, a law degree from Yale, and a master’s in secondary education from Loyola Marymount. He has also served as an adjunct professor at McGeorge School of Law, and co-owns and operates Ose-Kiley Cattle (former U.S. Congressman Doug Ose).

Before being elected to the State Assembly, Kevin represented the People of California as a Deputy Attorney General in cases involving convicted felons. He took that commitment to the Legislature, where he has authored legislation to combat voyeurism and strengthen legal protections for victims of sexual assault.

First elected to the California State Assembly in 2016, Kevin has won statewide acclaim for his legislation to expand parental choice for underserved students, ensure impartial descriptions of ballot initiatives, and end the practice of government double taxation. He serves as Vice Chair of the Assembly Education Committee and of the Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee, and is a member of the Public Safety Committee, Governmental Organization Committee, Judiciary Committee, and Higher Education Committee.

Join ACEC and APWA members on Friday, January 4th to hear the latest goings on in the California Assembly and the State Capitol!
