Our speaker for the February meeting will be Lori Moss, Community Development Director for Sacramento County. She and Bob Davidson, Sacramento County Engineer, will discuss the outlook of development in the County.

Lori Moss joined the County of Sacramento on July 2, 2012 as the new Community Development Department Director. The Department includes Planning and Environmental Review, Building Permits and Inspection, Engineering and Survey, and Code Enforcement.

Prior to coming to Sacramento County, Ms. Moss was the City Manager of the cities of Murrieta and Canyon Lake.

Ms. Moss has a degree in Planning and Economics and worked for the County of Riverside as a Planner. While at the County of Riverside, Lori oversaw the East County activities of the Economic Development Department. These activities included:

• Redevelopment
• Fast Track
• Community Development Block Grant
• Managing the County Fair and The Date Festival in Indio, California for three years.

She resides in Campus Commons with her daughter, who is in her third year at Sacramento State.
