Founder Orin Bennett started his engineering practice in 1979. Through ownership transitions Bennett Engineering Services, as it is organized today, has been providing service since 1995.

BENEN’s transportation project experience ranges from small access road design, streetscape, complete streets, roadway widening and frontage improvements, to major highway, bridge, and bypass infrastructure. The firm also has extensive experience processing federally-funded projects through Caltrans and state-funded projects through the California Transportation Commission.
BENEN has decades of experience providing civil engineering services for wastewater systems. Our experience includes design of pump stations, force mains, gravity sewer pipelines, rehabilitation of sewer systems, and wastewater treatment plants and regionalization planning. The firm is always looking for ways to modernize the treatment of wastewater and has planning and design experience with decommissioning outdated systems in favor of routing to more modern treatment facilities and improved environmental conditions.

BENEN’s water systems project experience includes design services for wells, pumping stations, in-conduit hydroelectric power generation facilities, pressure reducing stations, flow control facilities, pipelines, and rehabilitation and/or replacement of existing pipeline facilities. Design experience ranges from small to large diameter pipelines. We have designed many water storage reservoirs including steel and concrete, underground and above ground. BENEN also has extensive experience in water system hydraulic analysis modeling.
BENEN staff have provided consulting for private clients for more than 30 years. We have extensive experience with master planned communities, industrial/retail centers, commercial/office facilities, and residential development.
