The March speaker for the joint ACEC/AIA/ASLA meeting will be Mr. Roger Niello, President of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. Roger served on the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors beginning in 1999 until his election to the California State Assembly in 2004, where he served as a representative for the 5th District from 2004 to 2010.
In recognition of Assemblyman Niello’s efforts to expand the use of public-private partnerships and for the important roles he played on the Budget, Elections, and Redistricting Committees, ACEC honored Roger as the ACEC-California Legislator of the Year in 2008.
Mr. Niello’s presentation “Full Circle: From Chamber Volunteer to Chamber CEO and Our Next Economy” promises to provide insight into the economic outlook for the Sacramento Region and the role the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce will play in helping to improve the business climate in the area.
